Amy Bell is a skilled trainer, coach and facilitator with a passion for helping not only people who seek to live extraordinary lives but anyone who wants to improve the quality of their life and relationships so that they can get more of the good stuff in life.
After six years of extensive training in both Australia and Europe with some of the most highly acclaimed trainers in the field, including James Tsakalos, Christina Hall and Marvin Oka, Amy has earned certification as both an NLP Master Practitioner and Trainer of Neurolinguistic Programming - a powerful and versatile set of tools both for communicating effectively and for facilitating behavioural and psychological change.
Amy, having taken the road less travelled, is the only female NLP Trainer in Melbourne to have approached becoming an NLP Trainer via an in depth apprenticeship spanning 6 years with a world class mentor and is the only female running comprehensive NLP Practitioner Courses of 18 days or more here in Victoria.
Training locally and in the US, and coaching worldwide she is fast becoming a sought after mentor and resource to NLP and Corporate Trainers wishing to benefit from her unique depth of expertise in both NLP and Training Design.
From working one on one with multi million dollar business owners to running personal and professional development workshops to helping teach disadvantaged yet resourceful children at the Green Gecko Project in Cambodia, Amy is committed to applying her skills, experience and expertise to making a positive difference in the world.
NEURO LINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING

NOT AS WOO WOO AS YOU THINK
There's a lot of whacky stuff out there in the world about hypnosis. Most people think of "watch the watch", trance inducing spirals, people having their minds taken over and start clucking like chickens. It's really much simpler than all that and a lot more of an every day experience than you probably realise. Hypnosis in the context of creating change is a way of facilitating an experience, where someone can become focused and absorbed in that experience so that they can move from their problem and towards their solution. If I ask you to what was the worst thing that happened last week, you will look for the worst things. If I ask you what was the best thing that happened last week, you will look for the best things. In both those examples I am directing your attention to focus on the worst or the best. This is hypnosis. And we hypnotise ourselves with the thoughts we have and the things that we say to ourselves every day. All language directs our attention, to focus on particular things. All language is hypnotic.
Trance is also an everyday occurrence. Has your mind ever wandered? Have you ever been driving and realised you have no recollection of how you got to where you are because your mind had gone off somewhere else? That's all trance is. Milton Erickson defined the hypnotic trance as a state of increased awareness and responsiveness to ideas.We can utilise trance to bypass our conscious mind chatter and go straight to the unconscious for faster, wiser more creative solutions.
METAPHOR FOR CHANGE
Clean Language was developed by counselling psychologist David Grove. David found it was beneficial to focus attention on the metaphors people use naturally to describe their experience as they generally operate at a deeper, embodied unconscious level . Exploring their metaphoric landscape in this particularly powerful way invites people to consider their experience from different perspectives resulting in interesting new insights and the recognition of new possibilities.
